Discover: Rig Hand Craft Distillery!

What is “Alberta in a bottle?”

At Renaissance we pride ourselves on supporting independent, indigenous, and intriguing businesses who reflect our values of living life to discover. That’s why we love partners like Rig Hand Craft Distillery, who not only live our lifestyle but are just as passionate about it.

Rig Hand opened in 2014 as the Greater Edmonton Area’s first craft distillery. They have now distilled over 40 different types of vodka, rum, whiskey, gin, moonshine and cream liqueur right in Nisku, just minutes away from us at Renaissance. Every bottle is inspired by the locale as is obvious from the unique oil rig shape of the glass itself. Every spirit is born from locally sourced ingredients and their largest grain supplier is Schneider Farms, a fourth generation family farm just 2 miles from the distillery. They are “Alberta in a bottle.” Family and locality is at the core of everything Rig Hand does. Right next to those two values is definitely fun.

Re: Meet Seymour

We had the joy of meeting Seymour at Day of Discovery at the Renaissance on June 5th. There’s a long story with Seymour that you hear if you visit him, but to cut the story short: you will end up having a few drinks with Seymour and you will get closer to him than you expect.

Our Navigators at Renaissance can easily plan your distillery tour and tasting for groups of all sizes. Whether it’s a quick hour long afternoon break to kick start the mind, or an evening at the distillery with Renaissance catering and live entertainment, we can make it happen. We know you want your meetings and events to be anything but ordinary. With our partnership with Rig Hand Craft Distillery we promise to create inspired, unscripted moments that won’t be forgotten.

Between distilling over 40 different types of spirits, having a large fully licensed tasting room, and Seymour, Rig Hand Craft Distillery makes for the perfect adult field trip. Ask your Renaissance representative or Navigator for more details. Don’t worry, we’ll sign the permission slips.
