Global Day of Discovery 2018, Discover Your Wild Side

On Tuesday, June 5 join us at the Renaissance Edmonton Airport Hotel to celebrate our #businessunusual culture to the max! Nearly 170 Renaissance hotels worldwide will host an extravagant event to help uncover the sights, sounds, tastes and art of the locale that makes each city unique. A spectacle of mixology, gastronomy, and entertainment, the party is the best way to experience the unexpected.

Beginning at 6 p.m. with our infamous Bar Ritual, the event includes two guest bartenders from Chartier and Baijiu serving custom cocktails paired with wild hors d'oeuvres created by Executive Chef Andrew Ihasz. You can visit the OilersNation team for some friendly competition in a variety of games as they assist you with discovering their exclusive OilersNation Rig Hand Distillery Vodka, or take a casual stroll through the Beaumont Night Market set up in the adjacent hall. Alleykat Brewery will also be on site to help you pick out your favourite summer beer flavours.

If you want to get really wild, our adult sized ball pit will definitely catch your eye! Sink in and relax or have a pillow fight, it’s up to you! Guiness Book of World Records’ Carisa Hendrix and her friends have some tricks up their sleeves for you and your friends, all while Edmonton’s Thomas Culture sets the soundtrack.

Plus you can help support the Edmonton Humane Society by purchasing our Signature ‘Man’s Best Friend’ or ‘Cat Lady’ Cocktails, with all the proceeds going to the EHS.
