DISCOVER: Workshop Eatery & Woodshed Burgers
Locally, Chef Paul Shufelt is iconic for his legendary culinary creations and even more so his philanthropic contributions to the Edmonton community. Chef Paul opened his first restaurant in South Edmonton in 2015, The Workshop Eatery. The restaurant is strategically located in the Mosaic Centre, the earth’s northernmost net-zero commercial building. This allows Chef Paul the unique opportunity to grow his own vegetables right on the property AND have his own beehives for producing his own honey. These home-grown ingredients are then used in cooking simple comfort food with the bounty of the season and preparing his own in-house condiments and preserves.
Chef Paul sources local ingredients to create his masterpieces and in doing so presents a different menu to frequent guests so they aren’t ever in a state of boredom. That said, a staple on his menus is the Workshop Burger. Let the record show that this is ONE OF THE BEST BURGERS in Edmonton featuring locally sourced grain fed beef, home made preserves and home baked brioche buns. In fact, it is so popular that it was the inspiration to open his next restaurant, Woodshed Burgers.
Woodshed Burgers opened in the summer of 2019 and quickly became the hot spot for a fine dining fast food burger. And now, amidst the Covid 19 crisis, you can order your own burger complete with house cut fries to be delivered to your door. You won’t be disappointed.
